STALKING A STORY: The Importance of “Stalking” a story. As a reporter, you need to be inquisitive and keep your eyes and ears open at all times. Read the Simmons article here and see exactly how things come about. As you can see, it takes some creativity, patience, luck and perseverance to come up with really good ideas and stories. Whether it be doing a 2 minute video report or uncovering something big in the school, IMMERSE yourself in the story and go from there. Ask questions, be nosy, and attack.
